Chow Chow

Chinese Dog Breed- Chow Chow with a very dense double coat, sturdily built body, square in profile, with the broad skull and small triangular, erect ears with rounded tips and a curly tail that can curl over their back or to either side. The fur is particularly thick near neck area giving it a distinctive ruff or mane appearance. A unique characteristic of the Chinese Dog Breed- Chow Chow is its distinctive blue-black tongue.

About the Chow Chow

These calm dogs, well-suited for guarding, possess several unique characteristics, including their lion-like appearance and confident gait. The breed has two coat types: a longer, rough coat and a shorter, smooth coat. Another distinctive feature is the curly tail. It has thick hair and lied curled on its back. Chow Chow nose should be black, can have a solid blue or slate-colored nose.

 The ancient breed evolved and manifests both morphological and physiological features, including its dark tongue, coat of fur, and stronger build Chinese Dog Breed- Chow Chow are independent but extremely loyal to their owners. They can be wary of strangers and often seem reserved around new people.
