Afghan Hounds or Tazi are sight hounds. They hunt by the sight and speed instead of sound and endurance. They were bred to hunt gazelle, deer, and leopard. They run very fast and have tendency to run at the speed of 40 miles per hour, which is almost equivalent to the speed of a racing horse.
